Its true what they say

I think I heard this quote from College football legend Lou HoltzIf what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today” This was so true of today when I came to work all blurry eyed, caught out by the loss of sleep when the clocks went forward! Last week I made great advances in my Idea Generation Project, Went to they Gym everyday and lost a fair bit of weight, didnt eat any junk food and oh yes, I was nominated and won a Global award at work!! I could not have felt more positive, happy and contented at work.

This elation was stretched a little longer when @xandercs and I watched my favourite comedian Dave Gorman at The Anvil and during the show I started a twitter conversation with Dave Gorman in the intermission. How cool was that ? I was stuck behind the woman who owns the biggest hair in Basingstoke!. I mentioned it on Twitter and Dave messaged me back, well needless to say we moved and watched the remainder of the performance with a full view.

So what next

Well Monday came and I struggled to get up, Missed my gym session and had a laborious day at work, to top it off had a meeting where I pretty much learned  that my international assignment to the USA is unlikely to be soon 🙁 So it could not have been more juxtaposed to the previous week.

So as Lou Holtz said “If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today” … Then I read some of my Imiperium book at lunch and saw this quote, “It is the character of a brave and resolute man not to be ruffled by adversity and not to desert his post”

So here is to adversity, accepting the bumps on the road, and remembering I have three choices 1. Be good, 2. get good or 3. give up…
